Rhine captain
Are you a captain with leadership qualities and a passion for safely transporting petroleum products? Then we have the challenge for you!
Your role
As a captain, you will be ultimately responsible on board our modern fleet and the driving force behind our daily operations within the Rhine area. You will ensure that the inland barges operate safely and efficiently and are responsible for:
- Managing the crew: Motivating, guiding and ensuring a positive and professional work atmosphere.
- Safety and efficiency: Ensuring safe execution of the transport of petroleum products, complying with all safety regulations.
- Administration and maintenance: Ensuring accurate administrative handling and technical maintenance of the inland barge.
- Cooperation: Proactively engaging with the office staff and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
We are looking for
- Experience navigating the Rhine, preferably up to Mannheim
- A Radar Patent;
- A VHF radio certificate;
- ADN-B (ADN-C is a plus);
- Excellent command of the Dutch language and good knowledge of nautical German and English.
